9, VAR had the opportunity to watch the wrestling match in the Man U Chelsea game in slow mo and decided that it wasn’t a foul, that was wrong and so was today’s, it’s no good having laws if you don’t apply them.

They have decided the extra ball was the one still on the field of play, whereas the law states extra ball, object or animal enters the field of play, yes it’s pedantic but they got it wrong…..Pagan

The rule states as per your own post “the Referee must stop play only if it interferes with play” Both the Referee and VAR decided it didn’t interfere with play. The end!😊

Werner, well there’s a conundrum, plays well, tries hard but can’t put the ball in the net. He never looked confident once he’d put the ball on the spot, but had the confidence to want to take it. For me he just needs to score in consecutive games, so he needs to be kept playing, anything else will just dent his already fragile state of mind…..Pagan

9, was there already a ball on the field of play, even you have to say yes to that

Therefore the extra ball was the one thrown on, that also you have to agree with

The only thing that is a matter of debate is if the extra ball interferes with play, I say as it ended up being the one put in the net it does, you seem to think otherwise, not quite sure how…..Pagan

To be fair to Kepa after letting in a poor goal in the first half he did make a very good save in the second half.

Feel for Werner he had a good game bar not scoring the penalty.

Better performance than Tuesday night but with no disrespect to Luton it was Luton.

Much bigger tests lie ahead.

I do have a sneaky feeling for Liverpool this evening but it’s a tough game to call because it really could go either way.
