Rob, I do recognize where you’re coming from with your theory in managing our expectations.
I still can’t stand United being above us and probably would have realistically preferred them to lose or draw. However, the outcome from yesterday leaves us 4 points ahead and at worse we could afford this lose this weekend and still remain where we are.
Chelsea have now lost the last 4. The Buffer we have takes away pressure, but our players and manager have so much to answer for and there’s lots of unfinished business with 6 games to go.
None of them should be thinking further ahead about anything else than putting in performances and wins. Definitely need all 3 points from today.

From what I partially saw of yesterday evening, the quality of the football was dire.
What is this Premier League serving up? More draws, less goals. There’s only a handful of Teams actually worth watching from an entertainment point of view.
Looking forward to a change of Teams coming from the Championship to mix it up.
Low block and seemingly less desire to play expansively is killing the value of entertainment.

Everton are gonna lump balls up to Beto and then try to win the 2nd ball to get themselves up the pitch.

I’m more worried about Virgil. We’re all aware I think of the massive gap our midfield leaves by pushing too far forward but this is compounded further by Virgil running away from attackers running into that space. He’s always been a cover defender and that compliments Konate who is a stopper but this year his decision making has been atrocious. Fear of being outpaced? Legs gone?
I can see Ndiaye causing us problems today. And everton always turn these games into a scrap and we are the least suited to that I’ve ever seen fron Liverpool. Going for a two nil hone win.
