Super Well Done Everyone today from Players, to Management and Coaching staff. I am really liking the Players modest behaviour. They celebrate but stay humble. Well made up and I felt we overcame a difficult hurdle against Norway. I think either Argentina or Switzerland will be easier. Guaranteed now 2 games. COME ON ENGLAND!!

I predicted this tournament would be called on technology, either VAR or that microchip in the ball, like half the Norway team saw the ball hit a wire and drop down, half the bench saw it as well. Probably a lot of fans as well and FIFA just state that the microchip shows no evidence. I said it before the tournament started that I just do not trust VAR with the current AI meta. Itยดs so easy to falsify what happened in a split second and I do not trust the officials. This latest corruption charge with Argentina is pretty big, Messi should have seen a red card or two by now actually. Ronaldo also had his ban rescinded right before the cup. Infantino has proven how corrupt he is with the red card for the States. Iran banned from basically doing anything, they held their heads up high though. There is too much going on behind the scenes at this tournament. The football is not dictating what goes out on the green right now, itยดs politics and money.

Knives are fully out. I am a little bit surprised as we progressed through to the Semis. We didn’t always play well but when have England delivered 5 star performances on a consistent basis at the very centre stage?
Tuchel I have come across heavily criticised on his decision-making not to mention so-called fans extending their ‘kindness’ right the way through to the player selection.
Rightly or wrongly and whether this merits justification, it’s the whole tone online. It’s so convenient after the event and we’ve seemingly become a society greater than ever to readily shift the moment there is a set back and adversity.
This is Britain for you as a nation. There seems more anger than support.

Nil I am not English, I am Northern Irish so therefore by default support whoever England is playing, however I think I can be rational in my critique.
Sitting back and gifting a technical team like Argentina the space they had was a major blunder by the coach. It’s up there with some of the worst tactical decisions I’ve seen at elite level.
England has a good squad, a world class striker and a few other players getting close to world class. What are they, ranked no 4 in the world or something? That’s about right, especially when you look at other tradtional heavyweights such as Brazil and Germany being poor. Those good players dont become bad instantly during a game (they started ok especially with the press), that drop off only comes from one source.
England fans have always been poor losers however, especially to old enemies like Argentina and Germany. I remember reading about England fans smashing German cars (not owned by Germans, just German makes) because they lost once. The internet and all the outlets it provides can only enhance this level of anger and stupidity.
Support someone crap like one of the Irelands then just being in a major tournament is worth celebrating. Best fans though.

3p’s, I’m inclined to agree with essentially everything you have pointed out. Good to be able to have a rational discussion for a change!
We drove caution to the wind and this backfired on us. 20 minutes or so is a long time and Argentina already have a track record of finding late goals. Tuchel misjudged this on this occasion, there isn’t really a way to dress this up.
I do think the manner of the backlash from fans given out from the mediums is mean spirited or that’s how it comes across.
You are right your example of other nation fans. Regardless of the expectations, they are more jollier and show gratitude.
Not like this as such with England the moment there is adversity.

That’s a good shout with Howe if the FA wanted to return to an English man in charge.
But do you really sack someone because they messed up in one match? He took the 4th best ranked team to the semi finals were the team will finish either 3rd or 4th. Is that really worth sacking over?

I think Tuchel did enough to keep his job tbh. Tuchel made mistakes, but he was responding to what was happening on the pitch. Englands legs had gone and he saw defence as the best chance we had. Their first goal shouldn’t have been as easy as it was, because we had 7 players defending the penalty spot and not one guarding the edge of the box, the second goal we somehow had an unmarked striker in the 6 yard box with 4cbs on the pitch. That’s on the players imo.

When you put it like that, 3p’s, maybe he doesn’t deserve the boot…
But… as much as I could agree about players being knackered, I would have gone apples for apples… so, if Gordon was knackered, put on Rashford (who shouldn’t be knackered?), etc….
I also think he made a mistake keeping on Harry & Jude… who did both look knackered… more knackered than Gordon if I’m honest… take of Jude, move Rogers central… put on one of the Goonies…
Or take off Harry and stick on Tooney/Watkins…
All he did was invite the pressure and the inevitable outcome…
Or perhaps he could have rotated a bit more during the first 6 games??
And to be honest, picking a 26 man squad without TTA, Palmer, Foden, Wharton and taking Henderson (FFS?!?!??! Need a cheerleader, put James fucking Corben in a tracksuit make him a coach!! Hell, take Buffy, he’s always good for a larff!!) should be a P45 offence!!
And, yes, I’ve always thought it was shameful when countries, any countries, don’t pick a “national” manager…. let along Engerland, we invented the sodding game!!
Anyway, on a slightly different note, the nipper talked me into the big game in Helsinki this weekend, the Mighty Wrexham Dragons against some Norffern Team…

The anguish I just think which is understandable. Maybe allow a few days etc for the dust to settle but Tactically at the critical point Tuchel got it wrong.

This month feels stretched feeling longer as we sort of head towards the end of it. I would say to those fans: take yourself back to 1st July, and then the 11th which was last week.
We drew 1 game in the tournament prior to the loss. I just think there’s a sudden shift as the tide has been turned and we lack any loyalty.
If we lose late at night, I feel like net closing more in on Tuchel and he’ll be driven out.
There is no way we’re getting Pep, so we can forget about that one.
