Coaches only have a limited time with the players so difficult to implement a high tempo system as players are coached differently during their day job. Probably easier for a player to revert to slow that’s used to a fast tempo than vice versa. One of the reasons international football doesn’t interest me.

Good first half goal towards the end. Rio was on the other side playing, but he was effective.

You get the feeling aside Robson and Venables, it’s the same thing repeated for the last 25 or so years. Maybe we shouldn’t expect too much.

motm on his debut, not a bad game for the kid but yeah nil, do not expect them to go all the way just yet. At least you have not started singing that you are bringing it home and I got to say Tuchel knows his team, he is not trying to accommodate players he does not want playing into the squad, it´s gonna be interesting to see how it goes.

I wanna go for a South American winner this year, just on the premise the world cup is played in America. Like most times the Cup is in Europe it will be won by a European team.

It was a warm up gain where players were probably very conscious of picking up a pre tournament injury in 35° heat and what was by all accounts and atrocious pitch. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

Bingo, man, I’ve seen scheduling and boy some of those kick off times are crazy lol against BST. I am quite excited myself re the South American Teams on their own hemisphere.

I don’t really want teams like Portugal or Spain.

England need certain guys to stand up and ones capable of putting the ball in the net. There’s more likely for narrow 1-0’s. Probably worth managing expectations in not expecting too much lol! 😀
