So, we’re coming up to the world cup and some of us are looking forward to seeing some good football after our teams have had a little bit of a nightmare season, whilst others are coming in on a high. Congratulations to the likes of Arsenal and Villa…and commiserations to the like of LFC and MUFC for the poor state of our clubs.
Now, Thomas Tuchel is about to name his squad for the World Cup and there’re seemingly some big names out, Maguire, Shaw, TAA, Palmer, Foden, Morgan Gibbs-White and a few others. The current surprise additions are (IMO) Livramento, John Stones, Henderson, Mainoo, Gordon and Toney.
There’re some very odd choices, Maguire has been playing most the season and Stones hasnt…
Toney…thats an odd addition to me.

Adam Wharton for Mainoo?Here is the expected team:
Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford, James Trafford, Dean Henderson.Defenders: Reece James, Tino Livramento, Nico O’Reilly, Dan Burn, Ezri Konsa, Jarell Quansah, John Stones, Marc Guehi, Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Midfielders: Declan Rice, Elliot Anderson, Jordan Henderson, Kobbie Mainoo, Jude Bellingham, Morgan Rogers, Eberechi Eze.
Forwards: Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Gordon, Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins, Harry Kane.
So, how far will we go or will we be on the first plane home?? It’s not looking good to me!
