Just been thinking about the brighton player City have been trying to sign. Clearly, there’s more of a balance when Cancello is parterned with Diaz. Wondering whether Zinchenko should have stayed, but he was never guaranteed regular game time. I thinking whether teams will be looking expose this backline (just not sure in Ake).

Nike the left back area is a weakness and I do believe we will sign someone. City were not prepared to pay £50m for Cucarella and walked away as they did with Maguire, Sanchez Fred and Mahrez first time (not bad decisions!!). Other clubs think unlike some we will pay anything. I think we have shown in recent years we will not. We aren’t doing much wrong I think.

You’re going through the best time in your club’s history yet you can’t resist talking about those 2. Enjoy what’s happening at your club instead.
City, the biggest spending team the game has ever seen, are not in a position to start preaching about other clubs spending money. Cherry picking certain circumstances where City “pulled out” of deals is very misleading. No other club in Europe is paying £100mil for Grealish, for example and the enormous agent fees involved in the Haaland deal are, frankly, obscene.
Besides, City were the trailblazers when it comes to paying £50mil+ for fullbacks. It was unheard of before you signed Walker and continued with Mendy and Cancelo. City can hardly take the moral high ground now on that front. I’m well aware we wasted 50mil on Wan Bissaka too BTW.
