I entirely agree!
What i do find completely unfair on Slot is that not once have we seen Edwards or Hughes come out and back him or explain the situation. They’re paid an absolute ransom to run this club and really all theyre doing is sitting back while Slot’s reputation is laid bare and the club rolls back the years to Hicks and Gillette.
Slot.should have been let.go a long time ago, there’re no excuses.
One thing that I always drop back to is with Slot, Edwards and Hughes contracts running out at the same time, were FSG considering selling up when Edwards and Co’s contract run out?!

Apparently Gakpo had just 12 touches of the ball in 77 minutes with his first happening in the 41st minute.
I don’t understand how anyone cannot see that the system is broken. Head coaches of elite level football team definitely no, forum idiots possibly but only the really thick ones.
Has to be the worst football to talent available team I have ever seen from a Liverpool side. Sure Roy put out some stinkers but he had some championship level players at best in the starting line up.
Just a few more weeks to endure then we will see what happens. I am hoping for 3 major non playing departures, massive upheaval and instability yes, but it’s needed. Still seems the club have batoned down the hatches for leaks whilst releasing rumours to maintain control.

The issue really is beyond the players control at this point. Yes, they should be running around busting a gut…100% they should be, no matter the manager.
But, let’s look at it in reality and normal world environment. If you are working in a warehouse for a boss that treats you well, makes you feel worthwhile and part of the business…you’ll work hard and go beyond the norm. On the flip side, if you have an absolute dictator that treats you bad, you’ll probably find most of the staff having a snooze in a dark corner.
Quite simply, these player dont feel the Anfield bond anymore, and that not just with Slot. The contract situations surely are another clear sign that Edwards and Hughes haven’t got a grip on the situation and this is annoying players. How on earth Gakpo managed to get his contract sorted seems odd, certainly at 250k a week….I mean why?!
Slot cant train the players, Edwards and Co cant make a decision, cant sort contracts…and FSG seemingly dont care and you’d think FSG would want the LFC brand to be looking up, but surely this is hitting their assets value. Like my contact said ‘its a complete basket case’ behind the scenes.

Its funny that this time last year we were admired as being one of the best ran clubs around. I read an article from tompkins who makes so many excuses yet does not touch on the managers tactics. He is trying to play like ten haggs utd. You can drive a bus through our midfield
Look at how many goals we have conceded. We took people out of thexteam who work hard, replaced by eitike and isak who dont run.
I daid last summer absolutely no way would such an upheaval in the squad work. We tore up everything klopp did in jan 25 and its been 15 months of pure shite with a very few decent performances
Anfield crowd is gone. Slot has lost the players, fans everyone. He has to go or we will waste money in the summer, start badly and he be gone by Christmas

What we got one more game against a top 10 side, we have not gotten a win against a top 10 side this season I think or something ridiculous, every team out runs us as well.
I don´t think Slot can see how bad it is, like he has no clue about the situation. What really worries me is the fact that 1 minute into injury time, Marmadashvili makes a good save and gets ready for the counter and we have 7 players walking out of the box, there is no urgency. The score line is 1-1 at Anfield, we have the ball ready for the counter and everyone is walking out of the box.
Marma needs to stop and wait for the lads to get into positions and eventually rolls the ball out to the right flank 10 seconds after he saved the ball. Instead of a immediate counter attack, it´s just like they did not even try to go after the 3 points!

City just need to keep winning and as long as that continues, their match against Bournemouth stays relevant.
Definitely not out of the question for Bournemouth to catch us. Up until Jeremy Doku pulled a Rabbit out of the Hat, Brentford frustrated Haaland and City. Pep made the necessary changes to step it up and now their goal difference is only 1 behind the Gunners. Huge chance and would be even better if West Ham find something later this afternoon.
I think Bournemouth will be their most difficult battle as they must fancy their chances to secure a European Place or even a CL place.
The way we are, we will flounder against Villa and Brentford will take a point at Anfield. I am sorry to predict this, but this is how I feel realistically with the lack of confidence and built up anxiety. This will put us on 60 points.
Bingo and myself predicted we’d get only 59 this season and that’s looking likely even though we have 2 games to play.

I saw that Bingo. Marma wanted to kick it out, but nobody further up the field or nobody hurrying at all. He was clearly frustrated.
Look at the free kick that went in. The players have this “what am I even doing here look”. The focus is lost. It’s like the weather. Sunshine for the first 15-20 minutes, then showers and rainfall thereafter. If their mind isn’t on it in the first place, then they won’t perform and therefore won’t deliver.

3ps that is a beginner tactic on FM when you don´t trust your players to make the decision themselves. It´s basically how to get a lower league player to start playing the ball but we have world class players that can make the decision themselves. We got World Cup winners, almost every player in the squad is more decorated than Slot.
One of my biggest problems with him is that he is always identifying a problem that does not exist, like every time he makes a sub at the 60th minute he has identified the wrong problem, every sub he makes is based on some misunderstanding. I think only 30% of our subs have worked this season. We usually concede 3-5 minutes after our first sub.
It also looked to me like the lads were happy with the point at Anfield!

Thing is no one is saying anything new, it’s been like this all season. The changes were happening last season. I think the difference now is that the vast majority of fans have abandoned hope that he will see the issues and change.

The players don´t understand the fans right now, they don´t understand why the fans are booing at the end of the game. Chelsea have not outran any team in the league this season but they outran us, every fan in the stands could see it, all the fans could see Marma there waiting for them to get into position in injury time.
The players are happier in Rome having a walkabout then in training. The head coach is happier back home in Holland, the assistant manager wants to leave for Feyenoord. I think Salah is right about the standards, they are slipping, nobody stays behind anymore working on their fitness. The horse races are more important, everything is more important than actual training.
I remember Slot stating that we could focus on the league after crashing out in Europe, since then he has used up every spare day to send to lads on vacation.

Ultimately, who’s eyes are they pulling the wool over? The fans will stop attending matches which will of course result in the loss of revenue.
Maybe FSG ought to investigate internally by speaking to players and staff to gather a vibe then act upon this with the necessary course of action.
Players are turning up for the sake of turning up get through from one 90 minutes to another are in their minds hoping the final whistle blows quickly and ends the season. Why is this? Even for the final 2/3 matches, you can roll your sleeves up and show some spirit and passion. But no.
In one season, everything has fallen apart.

So as it stands, we are now 5th. Could change if Burnley level and the game ends either a draw or a win for the home team.
Problem with Bournemouth’s final 2 games is one of them is Man City but at Home. Definitely not out of the question for them to get points. Realistically, we will just about secure 5th.
