Chelsea Ban lifted on Appeal!

It’s a tricky situation at Chelsea with their being a lot of youngsters in the team, do you buy a first choice player and block the youngsters, or buy a back up but not get the quality. Forward wise we probably need another first choice to share the workload and give us a plan B, but it’s quite easy to rotate forwards. It’s the defence that’s the conundrum, if you bring in an experienced quality defender who drops out, and then where and how do they get the experience they need?

Stevo, transfer dealings are always a lottery.

Firstly I don’t think Frank will throw the babies out with the bath water but we’ve all seen what signing 4 key players can do for a team with the example of Liverpool turning them from top 4 contenders to Champions League winners and genuine title contenders/ potential winners.

Frank has a great base to work with the challenge now will be to get it as right as Liverpool did.

Chelsea fans know that there is no magic wand and it’s going to take a season or two to start challenging the likes of City and Liverpool.

Mav, both potentially vulnerable in the medium to long term especially Alonso but contractually neither are about to be out of contract in the Summer.

Personally I think one of the Centre backs are potentially vulnerable as is Alonso as are Giroud, Pedro and Willian and possibly Michy too those imo are the likely areas Frank might look to strengthen as well as possibly a creative midfielder. Cheeky offer for Eriksen??

“A lot of hard thinking for Frank to do” I think you’re right Pagan I don’t think Frank will want to block any of the youngsters and we have others like Gallagher who may need to be incorporated next season.

But I get the feeling that Frank is very relaxed about all of this and already has his plans worked out probably from the Summer although they may have been slightly revised now.

It’s going to be interesting get it right and it could propel us forward much quicker and at least we’re no longer working with one hand tied behind our backs and it’s a level playing field for us on transfers.

I wouldn’t discount Zaha Mav he can play across the front three and Chelsea are likely to lose Pedro, Giroud and Willian between January and the Summer not sure about £80m though possible swap deal plus cash involving Michy too?

“Lampard has pledged to tread carefully as he looks to add to the squad.
