Spot on Mikus. 11 changes show how much the cup was prioritised. Frustrating as I’d like to have won it but it’s one of those “nice to win” rather than “have to win” kind of trophies. We dominated the game but just couldn’t put the ball in the net. 27 shots for Utd was probably the most of any team this round but it counts for nothing if you don’t finish your chances.

Starting to worry about Villa coming to OT on Saturday now after they caused Chelsea a lot of problems at their place twice now.

No excuses here Moos. West Ham deserved it. Again, it’s a trophy I’d have liked Utd to have won but it’s simply not a season defining trophy. As Mikus said, winning it wouldn’t be enough to keep Ole in a job, regardless.

I love every competition and try and watch every game that I possibly can, we fortunate to be able to watch multiple channels at the same time, it’s not easy but it’s so entertaining. Last night was particularly exciting stuff all round.

I suspect in order of importance for Chelsea this season in terms of what the Club would like to win it’s:

1st PL
2nd CL
3rd World Club Championship
4th FA Cup
5th Carabo Cup

Take out the World Club Championship and I suspect that’s the same priority listing for all the top 4 and that even the majority of the rest would primarily have the Carabo Cup as nice to win but their last priority and most of the team selections reflect that.

Mr. Ed, when the underdogs win everyone always says they deserved it, why then have stats, the team that has the most possession, the most shoots at goal, the most corners, the most chances etc. deserves it.

It shows the depths of the squads. Utd and Chelsea had the strongest teams out in terms of squad depth after making whole sale changes. Chelsea squad is absolutely unreal.

It’s no good having 70% of the possession if it’s all in your own half, you may have the most shots but they’re all from 30 yards, you get the most corners but do nothing with them.
