Let´s see what happens after the Quarabag game, I don´t think the club is willing to sack Slot today right before a Champions League game even if we are pretty safe there. We still need three points to be guaranteed in the upper half of the league format but I can´t see us losing our next game or drawing for that matter.
After we secure our spot I can see Slot gone, I think that would be the time to do it, cut ties with him and bring Gerrard as a interim or go for Alonso.
I can´t blame the players anymore, the decision making is so bad.

Wow! How things can dramatically change. Palace on their own soil now 3-0 down.
They had a Wonderful Season last year winning the FA Cup and their supporters experiencing such joy and happy vibes. Eze sold, Guehi just over the last few days, injuries to key players, Glasner announcing he wants to leave, and they look like freefall in the league.

Lots of ‘predictables’ today with Chelsea beating a team that everyone else beats except us in Palace with us slipping to fifth and Villa winning to make it a TEN point gap between us and them.
To complete everything, United just need a point to condemn us to 6th. Fulham btw, are only two points behind us now.

Slot ball this season has been an awful watch. Every game we are playing slow predictable possession football in the oppositions half, it’s not dissimilar to when City were at their most boring, except we have a weak disjointed defense, no DM, and no press…..and don’t win.
We are 3 points off of tenth place heading into the business part of the season and have never looked comfortable in any league game all season.
I think it’s the perfect time for change. It’s a free hit in the champions League and our league form can’t get much worse. If we got Alonso and a centre back we can still finish top 4/5 and have a shot at a cup. Will also be more balanced and better prepared for next year…..fecks sake …..not even February and we are in next year is our year territory.
I’d take gerrard to the summer if Alonso is waiting._____________________________

I think it will happen after the game against Quarabag fulcrum, there are 11 teams in the league that have conceded less than us this season, it would surprise me to see him go before that final home game in the Champions League. If we get 18 points then we are top four and that makes a huge difference now in the knockout stages. A 2-0 or 3-0 victory is not enough to save his job I think at this point. It´s not just the tactics, it´s also the decision making and the poor excuses.
Gerrard probably wants a shot as a interim, I doubt Alonso is ready just yet to pack his bags and move right away but that might change in a few days, with a bit more planning.
Xavi is available right now and he has expressed his desire to work the league. So is Joachim Löw, there are options and a few of them makes sense.
