But you may have proved my point JM, he made more passes than Casemiro and the second most out of any of the four central midfield players (including Bournemouth), and yet they largely went unnoticed. He just does the simple stuff well.
Yes, he is not dynamic, and we do need that in midfield but with Casemiro going and us being likely to bring in two midfielders that will be addressed. He will likely be used more as a squad player next season. But I would keep him in the squad.
People who want him out will be disappointed when Ugarte and Casemiro go, as we will not sign three CMs when we have large gaps elsewhere.

Unbelievably bad decision not to give the penalty for the foul on Amad, the officials in this country are just a collective fucking joke. If the Cunha and Maguire incidents were pens (which they were) then the Amad one just has to be given, simple as that.
Hopefully the 3 week break will enable one or two to get back fit again because we will now be missing both Casemiro and Maguire for the Leeds game plus Casemiro will miss the Chelsea match as well. De Ligt certainly won’t be one of them, what a fucking joke signing he was._____________________________

Killy- I think they said it wouldn’t be a red if the player made an attempt at playing the ball, but as he put his arm across him it was a red for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.
Glad the club are kicking up a fuss over this.
VAR is not fit for purpose, they either need to scrap it or start to re ref the match and ensure consistency in decisions. They should introduce a process where they tell the ref to overturn decisions if they are not consistent with what they decided earlier.
