      Ballon d’Or power rankings for the month of October has been revealed.

      Sportskeeda revealed that Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi, tops the Ballon d’ Or list.

      The Argentine captain is ahead of Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski, and Chelsea’s Jorginho and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

      Messi won the Pichichi trophy, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists in 35 LaLiga appearances.

      He also led Argentina to win the 2021 Copa America, while Lewandowski won the Bundesliga title with Bayern and Jorginho won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Euro 2020.

      Meanwhile, the Ballon d’ Or was not handed out in 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

      Below is the top 5 for the Ballon d’ Or power ranking:

      5. N’Golo Kante – Chelsea
      4. Cristiano Ronaldo – Manchester United
      3. Jorginho – Chelsea
      2. Robert Lewandowski – Bayern Munich
      1. Lionel Messi – Paris Saint-Germain

                It would be the height of laziness to give it to Messi. He’s not even close to the best player in the world right now.

                  Personally I would like to see it go to Kante the best player in his position in a generation but it’s a retrospective award and Messi won the Pichichi trophy, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists in 35 LaLiga appearances.
