It was hilarious seeing Arteta make that quadruple substitution – as though he was bringing on 4 world class superstars who were going to blow us away. I think it made them even worse!!
But i’m shocked at the stats this morning of how few goals they’ve scored in open play. They are literally a set piece merchant Stoke of a team trying to bully their way to the title with throw ins and corners!
And it was fucking beautiful to take those cunts down a couple of pegs yesterday. It would be hilarious if that puts their annual bottle job into full swing now.

I’d fuckin love it as Keegan once said!

Don’t be quoting Keegan, we all know what happened there.

Mm, it’s a bit of a quandary though. If they don’t win it, it’ll be City. Arsenal are certainly the lesser of those two evils. Take your point about the subs though happy. They do have a quality squad, but expecting Eze and Madueke to save the day when they’ve barely had a kick in weeks is a bit naive. Problem is Arteta, he sets them up to play like a George Graham team and that, if anyone on here is old enough to remember it, is where the β€˜one nil to the Arsenal’ chant originated.

How has no-one changed that annoying ‘Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal’ chant into ‘Arseholes, Arseholes, Arseholes’?

Yep, remember the George Graham days JM. 1-0 merchants and now they’re set piece merchants.
Arsenal are the lesser of the two evils agreed and we want Pep to fuck off too so the only solution I can see is Carrick drives the team to the title now!

They have the most stacked team in the division yet he sets them up to play that way.. but the stats of their forwards and attacking midfield is shite … and some still got the guts to compare odegaard to Bruno no matter how much the latter infuriates some of us sometimes.

Another thing is that all their fullbacks are center backs converted to Fullbacks just for the sake of their aerial abilities from set pieces

If they don’t win the league this year he’ll have to be fired. To have that squad, to have been in such a commanding position, and then to bottle it…… He’ll have to go!

Two things that stood out for me aside the real convincing performances with more belief, confidence and freedom is the stability and steadiness brought in by Michael Carrick. I am also seeing more clarity in your players playing and sticking more to their actual positions on the pitch, e.g. Mbeumo and Cunha.

2 Solid performances against the Top 2. I’d be really encouraged and full of optimism right now if I was a United fan.

@Adidas20 – we’ve been bitten too many times to be optimistic mate Hehe Ole won 8 on the bounce when he joined and we still never got back to being a top club… Can only believe again if we actually proper challenge for the title (which I can’t see happening any time soon unfortunately).

@Adiddas20 Good shout out … but we aren’t disillusioned yet; we are just enjoying the moment and taking it game by game. As @sympathy said we have been down this road before too many times to get carried away.

Only sustained consistency can make us start thinking otherwise.

Our first goal was our high press on their CBS and Zubimendy. In our half we were 11 men behind the ball but when the ball was on their half particulary their back4 we set up a good press. But that press failed in the beginning because of Dorgu have to play on Shawn’s position when he followed Saka drifting to our cb’s. Shaw should have stayed in his zone letting Maguire take care of Saka and Dorgu be the left winger so he can press with Bruno, Mbuemo and Amad. It looked better in the second half I’m sure Carrick addressed that in the second half. It’s details but important details.

Just realised I never posted after finally watching the match. Great performance and take a bow Patrick Dorgu! Shame about the injury

I’m not the first here to say it but been in agreement for quite a while now, Arteta is an absolute bluffer. He’d have been sacked a long time ago at a big club

Hey @Happy, we are 12 points behind Arsenal – the same as we were behind Newcastle in January that season πŸ‘€
