According to Google:
Short-Term Liabilities: Around Β£234.61 million of the total transfer debt is due to be paid immediately or within the next 12 months.
Long-Term Liabilities: The remaining Β£171.14 million consists of installments scheduled for payment after more than one year.
Probably the reason why we are looking at barging basement players. Another year of suffering and we may be ok.
If it was me I would sell anyone who is attracting interest.

22nd July 2026 at 11:00 pm #251092wonder what formation Carrick will use next season. my worry is he will be count bruno as an attacking midfielder, which he most certainly is not, and have 2 other midfielders in there. so basically a midfield 2, 2 wingers, Bruno roaming, and a striker, and your makeshift back 4 of crocks. considering tielemans and mainoo can’t run and can’t defend, how the fuck is that going to work out? not very well at all.

23rd July 2026 at 7:55 am #251099Not sure what you’re on about there Bob. He’ll obviously stick to the same formation that got him to 3rd in the league last season with Bruno in the 10 role?

23rd July 2026 at 9:11 am #251102Rumours about Arsenal wanting to rid of Odegaard?? Worth an enquiry? I think our last player from them was ok…..

23rd July 2026 at 9:28 am #251105No. They would be open to offers for Odegaard. That’s what I read.

23rd July 2026 at 9:30 am #251106Arsenal are not ruling out the sale of their captain Martin Odegaard, and will listen to offers for the 27-year-old Norway midfielder. (Teamtalk

23rd July 2026 at 10:12 am #251107Top player in my opinion SteveJ, and Arsenal are a better side with him in it. We need players who are comfortable in possession and heβs certainly that. Maybe a swap for Rashford?

23rd July 2026 at 11:13 am #251110Odegaard? Really?
Yall can cry wolf about Santos, Tielemans and Tchouameni but want to sign Odegaard? π€£π€£
The same Odegaard who only passes backwards and sideways just for the sake of keeping possession but can never find the final pass that leads to a goal..
If he is soo great why are the Mighty Arsenal willing to sell their very own Captain?

23rd July 2026 at 11:35 am #251112@SteveJ Odegaard more of a grafter than Bruno? That’s hilarious.
@Jm1502 he took arsenal to a totally different level but that was the old Odegaard. Post-injury he’s not been anywhere near the same player. I’d stay well clear. We’ve now got Tielemans and Bruno who can pick a pass, we definitely don’t need another who has massively declined.
@happyhurling so you’re saying that you’re happy with a midfield 2? you’re not concerned by a lack of pace or defending in the middle of the park? not concerned with being overrun? just trying to figure out where you are on the topic of our current midfield before the season starts.
who does everyone think we should now be going for in midfield? there doesn’t seem to be a clear choice in my eyes.-

23rd July 2026 at 12:17 pm #251115As Iβve said before, itβs all a matter of opinion. Besides, Iβm not saying we should sign Odegaard, heβs not what we need and it wonβt happen anyway, but Iβve always thought him a top playmaking midfielder.

23rd July 2026 at 12:23 pm #251116And youβre right SteveJ, reports Bruno has signed a new deal. So rumours of his departure were purely manufactured to force those clowns at INEOS into paying him even more money and for longer. Another example of not knowing when to get rid, for some decent money btw, and move on. At some point Bruno is going to get even slower and eventually turn into mush and weβll end up stuck with him on huge wages. When will these cunts ever learn.

23rd July 2026 at 1:42 pm #251120Heβs more than peaked happy, and I fear at his age and with his lack of pace and athleticism, itβs going to be downhill from here mate. And weβve become so reliant on him, when he does go completely fucked, weβll be completely fucked.

23rd July 2026 at 1:51 pm #251121Maybe. But i think he’s adapting his game and he’s clever enough to do that. He used to score loads of goals but now he just creates chance after chance. His game has never been based on pace so i think he could be at the level his is now for a couple more years. Once Cole Palmer gets pissed off that Rogers is basically playing in his position then i think he’ll be the man to replace Bruno in a couple of years.

23rd July 2026 at 1:57 pm #251122@SteveJ I did although I wasn’t paying much attention to norway. I take it from your question that he had a great World Cup.
I agree with happy that once his pace goes he’ll still be a great passer of the ball and probably more punishing with his passes as right now he’s forced to run around like a headless chicken putting out fires around the pitch and starting our own fires. What I found concerning was a 5 year contract for a 29 year old in tielman’s who hasn’t proven it at the top level. Surely 3 will a club option for a fourth would have been the move.
