The recruitment team needs to get hold of this situation now that Frimpong is the latest of ones side-lined. I wouldn’t really want Zobo filling in that position. Endo is already playing central, so my other thought is Robertson.

With Bradley and Frimpong’s consistent injury record and having to deploy a midfielder only overloads the midfield further. Szobo looks disinterested in that position and as good as Endo is, he’s not blessed with pace dreading this weekend if he starts there because Gordon and Hall will shred him. Jones, the same. FFS.

He can play CB, RB and DM to a PL standard. The likes of Bastoni or Schlotterbeck would be marquee summer signings, no way a player of that class moves unless there’s a clause (which there isnt).

This is not a simple deal to get done.
Sunderland have to be willing to end the loan deal, there would be compensation and presumably Sunderland would need a replacement.

Geertruida makes sense, a low-risk, utility player until the end of the season.
He’s proven quality, and was Slot’s captain at Feynoord. Also a Dutch international with 19 apps, so far.
He’s slightly injury prone, but not too bad. Most games missed injured per season, in the last four seasons is 9.
