Frimpong is our right-back now, so no point anyone dreaming of Trent coming back to Liverpool.
In fact, Frimpong has surprised me, I didn’t think he was that good, with his pace, dribbling, overall play, and most importantly his higher output of goals and assists (for a right-back).

23rd January 2026 at 9:47 pm #237489Not related, but I think there’s something harbouring with Arbeloa – remember the 4-4 at Anfield that cost us effectively the Title 2009?? Carra basically laid into him from Arshavin’s 4th goal in that match at Anfield. I think it was Arbeloa’s fault.
I just hope for Trent, he finds himself as it seems he’s been put out high and dry.

23rd January 2026 at 9:51 pm #237490Frimpong is unsung and really have a lot of praise for him. He likes playing and Liverpool. What is clear is that we’ve been through Turmoil and that’s no exaggeration.
Players need and take Time. Love the New Players and Existing. Imagine if we had a Fully Fit Isak????
Wirtz is growing. I just feel we need a Top Class Wide man of a Beast or of Sheer Ability and a Strong Defensive Midfield and a Centre Half and We’d be Rocking!!!

23rd January 2026 at 9:57 pm #237492The origin for the report that Trent has been told to find a new club is a Catalan newspaper.
Have there been any corroborating reports?
Arbeloa is highly unlikely to be the med/long term Madrid manager so how would he be telling Trent to leave with any authority?

24th January 2026 at 12:56 am #237497It is Real Madrid though Ginger therefore in the words of Cole Porter, Anything Goes!
Despite their incredible success it’s such a dysfunctional environment. The Royal Tenenbaums of the football world.

24th January 2026 at 11:04 am #237503Ye wouldnt believr that about trent
Onto robbo, seemingly he wants to go so best of luck to him. Up there with Ashley cole as the pl left full and denis irwin. 8m snip. Absolute bargain . We were looking at jamel lewis ( were is he now) and ben chillerll at thst time aswell. He an lfc legend and absolutely adored by the fans.
Him
And alan kennedy our best left fulls. I think klopps style of play has caught up with hom like it did fabhino. Just doesnβt move as quick. Id love to see him get a proper send off tuesdsy. Absolutely deserves that. Loved him . Unbelievable signing wish him
All the best. World cup year and hes not playing near enough so understand why he wants to go
I hope he really does well at spurs_____________________________

24th January 2026 at 12:59 pm #237505I have a huge problem with him leaving for Spurs, I just feel like he will waste the final years of his career there. ItΒ΄s a excellent move for them, they get one of the best ever leftbacks the league has seen for next to nothing. Robbo might even get a payrise actually, considering that his transfer fee will be minimal, he can ask for what ever wages he want and itΒ΄s not like any Spurs player has his experience. He is too good to be a Spurs player.

24th January 2026 at 1:28 pm #237507I think it is just speculation based on the fact that Alonso has been sacked and Trent is nowhere near the first team. He never had any hope of surpassing Carvajal who is a outstanding defender, maybe after a year or two yes but only then. He can blame his own team for the situation, they brought him there, thought he would win a balon on the bench. It is clear the situation is not ideal for him, even Valverde gets the nod a head of Trent for the righback position right now. ItΒ΄s clear Arbeloa does not rate him but Alonso was managing him but I would always pick Carvajal a head of Trent. ItΒ΄s a no brainer, Carvajal is a world class defender, Trent is a luxury player that can break a game. What would you prefer in a rightback, world class delivery or world class defending?

24th January 2026 at 2:27 pm #237512I actually think he should have joined Barcelona, he would have been a guaranteed starter over there, Kounde is nowhere near the level Carvajal is at.

24th January 2026 at 4:05 pm #237517very poor management on part of his brother basically, he might miss the World Cup but what else can he do than stick by it, force his way into the lineup again. Arbeloa stands no change of being a permanent manager, there is even talk about his u21 team being very upset right now as they have been left in the dust.
Real Madrid fucked up big time this season, Angelotti is a saint of a manager, he is the boss. Smoking cigars and making everyone feel appreciated, I doubt there is a manager that has his man management skills. Ever!!!
But and there is a big but lol, players become over indulgent under him, like they will take care while he is there but as soon as he is gone things go apart because itΒ΄s like replacing Klopp, he has that charisma as a manager.

24th January 2026 at 4:40 pm #237524Any of those ‘career’ choices of Barca and or Real, and you have to go beyond selling shirts and really hit the ground running. Shame he’s fallen to the sword if all reported is accurate. Man City will probably take a swipe and next thing we see is him playing alongside Guehi in the colours we don’t necessarily want!!!

25th January 2026 at 8:03 am #237680Well Robbo makes absolute sense to a business man, to a football minded person…its outrageous.
Financially, the club get a wage off their back and a fee.
Look it Robbo wants to go id have zero issue if he left for free, a top-top fella and earned the right to leave, personally id have him in the team in front of Kerkez who again looked lost last night.
The issue is here once again the lack of forward planning and id love to be able to compare the our loss of players to contracts running out to other clubs.
The planning of the squad is ridiculous, we now have Konate going for free and probably Robbo, in 18 months Gomez, VVD, Salah, Tsimikas, Alisson (i think), Edwards, Hughes and Slot’s runs out. Now the last three me might be happy about at the moment.
If you or I was in the squad planning, you’d be having new players coming in a good 12+ months before those players get to 12 months left on their contract.
If you was on the financial side, if a player doesnt extended their contract at the 2 years to go mark…youd be selling and replacing asap.
The logic of the club is very odd imo and could we see a sale in the next 12-18 months?_____________________________
