Liverpool are going to do this to the top sides all season. I still think Liverpool will struggle to put away the weaker sides though. With that said, I actually think that puts them in a strong position to go far in the CL.
Put it this way, I think Utd have a better chance of winning the league but, because I don’t think our squad is built to outplay the top sides, I think Liverpool are better placed than Utd to go far in the CL. Their only handicap is their squad depth which is nowhere near the levels of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea, even if the first XI is probably every bit as strong.
