As for Serano, he forgot to mention that CAS partially upheld the original ruling, imposed a sanction (albeit reduced) and that the reason they only partially upheld the ruling was due to time-barring – which is not the case with the PL.
CAS agreed that payments from Etisalat were time-barred according to UEFA’s own rules, and Etihad Airways’ payments were partially time-barred. CAS upheld UEFA’s complaint that City failed to co-operate.
