English Bob @ 13:34, you’re opening sentence is exactly how I feel, like it’s a little bit late in the day re-writing history.
Would it really make a blind bit of difference now in feeling good about life?
I really don’t know because of the complexities of a Team sport how this would all be figured our logically. If it’s an individual sport, then it’s easier to end he/she’s membership, expel them and strip them off their titles.
What immediate action is proposed because right now, I don’t see The Premier League coming out with anything; even to suspend them from participation.
There are huge and significant ramifications; fans of season-ticket holders for example; shareholders; sponsorships, television broadcasting commitments. Then you have player’s salaries to keep up with, so this is a seismic headache to sort out, but I believe for the integrity of the sport, certainly this should not end with a slap on the wrist or a brush off under the carpet.
