Actually took the time last night to watch Match of The Day, but didn’t get through the whole programme. Maybe it’s me, but I’m not wowed as I used to be in spite of a small cluster of teams who have and can serve up good football.
The rest generally are boring and there’s too much drama that comes with it generally speaking.
I find this season in particular quite unique in the number of leavers like the World is coming to an end.
The longest serving manager of 6 years currently is Mikel Arteta. Marco Silva I think has 4 years. There now seems to be a trend in appointing people as a Coach than a Manager. Is Arteta in 2026 the last of such Fabric to be allowed to Develop a Squad?
We’ve shifted to the Wrong Model to what our Identity should be. Where are our Young Players coming through aside Rio? It looks like we’re stuck with Slot until there’s either a shift in our Model in appointing an actual Manager or we can find the right candidate who actually wants to be in the Premier League and be able to deal with our very high expectations.
