I remember around this time last year or before when we just about beat Everton with Jota’s goal. I just think things gradually depreciated given that we had a flying start to the League Campaign though we did have things go for us.
E.g. Arsenal doing what they tend to do and drop off instead of push us, and Man City losing 6 games in a row. So this was good for us. No real threat from anybody else.
Once we were crowned Champions, Ibiza and all that lark came in and then our focus wasn’t as same.
Makes me wonder as well whether we heavily relied on certain players and whether we became one-to-two-dimensional ala Trent to Salah. Mo’s form has dropped considerably, so all these ‘Variables’ if you like have contributed to our DECLINE this season.
