Much will depend on who’s fit to play in our defence tomorrow because if both Maguire and Shaw are out that will probably mean Dalot at LB and a CB partnership of Yoro and Heaven, which is enough to give anyone fucking nightmares.
The fact that Maguire is now struggling to complete 90 minutes even once a week should be a wake up call to anyone who thinks we should just throw another two year contract at the guy at 33 years of age. He’s only averaged about 25 PL starts per season throughout his 6 years at the club anyway, and if we are going to keep those other two massive crocks De Ligt and Martinez I don’t see how we can possibly keep Maguire as well, simple as that.
