I heard something on the radio a couple of days ago, which could be interesting.
Regarding our summer transfers.
There was a football finance expert on (can’t remember his name). He was saying the PSR are changing. The gist of it was from my understanding (I’m sure somebody has better information/knowledge than me so happy to be corrected) is that currently clubs are signing younger players on longer contracts so the can balance the books for PSR purposes, and generally not signing players over 28 years old as cost of the player and the Salary can’t be written off as less likely to sell said player for a profit.
Now apparently theses new PSR rules will mean that clubs like us will not have to worry about signing older players and how it effects PSR.
Therefore we’re more likely to go for an experienced player than if the rules weren’t changing.
