Wirtz is a full international and was billed as a generational talent. Ekitike has hit the ground running and is also young. Why does Wirtz get a free pass, particularly when he cost a lot more? I always start to get concerned when being a told a player “needs time.” I can think of barely any situations where it’s been said a player needs time to improve and they actually have done.
