Ed, perhaps it was Pep’s expression ‘in the heat of the moment’ or to get reporters etc off his back, but I personally found it absolutely surprising for anybody at this stage of the season to concede. Purely because we’re middle January and there’s so much football to be played. Like you rightly point out, there’s still the head-to-heads to be played. I feel those meetings could be definitive as to where the Title will head.
