The sport is used as a platform money-making machine more than ever. There are you-tube multi-channels created because they know they could potentially make money by the amount of views and subscriptions. And yes, more social media involved so it feels essentially like a gold-fish bowl and we’ve been swayed into it.
It’s all true on the different physical activity that was once more immersed in is lesser and lesser (so it’s perceived to be). Some responsibility lies towards the central government and the lack of funding distributed to communities to enable foundations and facilities. With that in mind, there is always a nearby park and years ago, I would be playing for hours; this before the days of any Internet.
The sport’s no longer male dominated too as it’s more diverse than ever and more accessible.
